Avoid the Tire Kickers and Focus on Faster Sales
Friday, June 4, 2010 17:55Testing, trials and years of study are great for a scientist but for a direct marketer there is no time for such things unless you are at the helm of a massive company that can regularly afford to invest millions into these types of little experiments. What any direct marketer needs right now is results and they need them just as fast as they can get them. After all, your career depends upon your ability to convert those approaches into sales and if you don’t know the way to do this then you may end up needing to find another job. So let’s make this as simple as possible in terms of providing a solution. Focus on the impulse buyer of sweepstakes leads when you need to get quick results. These people are going to give you an excellent chance to make real money and if you do what they need you to do then they are going to be able to give you an excellent sense of what it takes to win them over. Even a failure with this type of lead is going to be a learning experience, but the advantage is that it is much harder to fail with these leads since they are not in the massive swarm of tire kickers.
Those who love to look can make any business look good because they are most of the time going to be the talkers in a given demographic, but they are not the ones that buy. You need to focus on buyers first and message spreading second.
